| What an adventure; I’ll be able to experience the World Heritage declared Lamington and Mount Tamborine National Parks by 4-Wheel Drive! I’ll get to drive through sections of the largest preserved sub-tropical rainforest in Australia, which includes cascading waterfalls, unique vegetation, and the unbeatable views from 1,000 meters (3,280ft) above the sea! I’ll also have the chance to feed exotic birds by hand and view Australian wildlife in their own habitat. Afterwards I’ll visit O’Reilley’s Guest House. But wait there is more; I have the chance to walk across the top of tress! Ok, not literally but the Tree Top Walk consists of a series of hanging boardwalks which are high above the rainforest floor. I could take a stroll with a skilled guide through the Rainforest Discovery Bushwalk and discover the unique ecosystem of the World Heritage listed Springbrook National Park. Waterfalls and the native fauna will sure be a highlight! OR I could take the Lamington Day Hike which starts with a scenic drive to the Lamington Plateau. Then off to the Lamington National Park to explore the temperate rainforest and see the aboriginal sites by foot. It doesn’t end there; I’ll be able to fly through the rainforest canopy on a “flying fox.” Both sound wonderful and I am sure to work up an appetite with either one; lunch and snacks are included! |
